Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to the most common questions about counselling.

General

Is counselling right for me?

If you want to work on something and are open to an honest look at your situation, a free introduction call is a good place to start – no matter how clearly defined your concern already is.

What happens in the first session?

We clarify what's on your mind, how it shows up in daily life, and what you'd like to get out of counselling. From there, we decide together how to move forward.

Do I need to know exactly what I want to talk about?

No. It's enough to notice that something feels off or that you feel stuck. We can work out the specifics together.

ACT & counselling

What is ACT?

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) is a well-researched approach that shows how you can relate differently to difficult thoughts and feelings while still acting in line with your values.

Is this psychotherapy?

No. I offer psychological counselling and coaching based on ACT – not medical psychotherapy and not treatment of a diagnosed condition.

Do I need a diagnosis?

No. Psychological counselling doesn't require a diagnosis.

Language

Can we work in English?

Yes. Sessions are available in both German and English. You can choose whichever language feels more natural for you, and it is also fine to switch between the two if that helps you express something more clearly.

Pricing & booking

How much does a session cost?

Individual counselling costs €100 for 50 minutes. Couples or business consulting are priced higher and can be discussed on request.

Is there a free introductory call?

Yes, a 15-minute introduction is free and non-binding.

How many sessions will I need?

This varies from person to person. There's no fixed number – you decide together with me how many sessions make sense for you.

Do I have to come every week?

No. The rhythm is based on what works for you.

Can I book a single session?

Yes. There are no packages and no minimum number of sessions.
